Jennifer develops, implements, and evaluates relevant programming for MDSA Foundation, including its early learning program, community events, fundraisers, and summer programs. She also recruits volunteers and connects donors who love the arts and the youth of the Greater Houston area to MDSA Foundation to achieve a symbiotic relationship. 

Jennifer has worked with children in several capacities over the last two decades through employment, volunteering, and raising her own five children. She believes that young children learn best through play. They need to feel free to explore, experiment, and interact with the world around them in order to learn from it.  Jennifer taught for two years in California as lead teacher in the 3’s class of the YMCA Preschool Program before opening up a childcare in her home. The Watson family ended up moving around a lot between 2008 and 2015 and have lived all across our great country! Finally landing in Texas to stay, Ms. Jen has been teaching the preschool age children of the MDSA Early Learning Program at the Moriah Davis School of the Arts since 2016.In her free time you’ll find her catching up on sleep, watching her children compete or perform in their extracurricular activities, playing board games, or planning her next adventure.
